Alina – bearer of light

She was created in acrylics, inks and watercolour. I pride myself of not using any black in this piece, mainly just phthalo blues, greens and magenta, with a shimmer of silver pattern power. All was sealed with a matt varnish on a 40cm x 40cm box canvas, ready to hang.

Here is Alina, which means bearer of light.

Being as she was conceived on the hottest days on record, I wanted to bring in the coolness of an air elemental to boost balance and equilibrium.

She has the heart of the sky and through her movement my intention was symbolic of clearing the way and giving purity to our surroundings.
