The Strength Of Silent Icons

This is one of a series I am presently working on influenced by a recent trip to Tuscany. I was greatly inspired by the Fresco Paintings and Sculptures by the Great Masters there.
I have been trying to replicate that timeworn fresco quality and this one holds that stonelike, serene presence that I feel is quite compelling. It is enriched with deep contrasting colours, bronze leaf gilding and sealed with a matt protective varnish.
This is a one off original.
