This little village on a hill was born from my desire to create a quirky landscape with some curious architecture in my unique style. Three dimensional work is often something I like to explore as I love using all sorts of gifts from nature to enhance the texture and feel of such pieces, I also love to draw the audience in sensually to touch and explore them with curiosity.
Many materials were used in this, including mulberry paper, air drying clay, pine cones, hessian, moss and dried flowers.
This is a one off original that took around 30 hours (without drying time) to complete, time is such a difficult thing to measure when you are in the process of creating things like this, but I put a lot of my quirky charm into this one!

The whole piece is on canvas and measures 32cm x 25 cm x 4cm. It‘s sealed with a waterproof varnish and comes ready to hang.
