‘Elysian Reef and Undersea Smiles’
A quirky title for a quirky piece!
This was a commission I did in the summer of 2025.
The aim was for it to be fun and free, bright and colourful with a few well known characters involved.
I had never actually painted an underwater scene before, so understanding how the light worked differently to a normal landscape was a tiny bit challenging. However, I thoroughly enjoyed the process, which enabled me to bring in a lot of playfulness and charm.
The client was beyond delighted with the finished piece!
