Elen of the Ways

I’ll be honest, I did not know who I was depicting until I had finished her. When I truly looked into her eyes

I saw she had remnants of Elen of the Ways – the Antlered Deer Goddess of Celtic origins.

Elen represents the creator of pathways and journeys ahead, bestowing balance between the energies of the land. It’s funny how she stepped into my radar at a time when I had been feeling great shifts within the seasons change. She is said to rule the elements of motion and transmutation through the cycles of our natural world.
