My plan was to create something dynamic while still working with the dryad theme. With the abundance of plants and trees sprouting new growth when I created it, I felt the need to activate a more commanding power than the familiar nymphs found in folklore.
Being an earth elemental she helps us connect with the physical world and our primal instincts. The element of air vigorously swirls around her implying a desire to connect with our creative life force – an inexhaustible insight circulating energetic ideas, growth and vitality.
She was created in acrylics and oil pastels on 20″x 10″ canvas and her captivating essence can be heightened in UV light thanks to the glimmers of fluorescent paint throughout her body.
