A Woodland Sprite imbued with a sensuality as wild and mysterious as the groves of the ancient forest. Her hair is tangled with dried leaves and moss. She lures us deeper into her dwelling.

This is a mixed media piece in acrylics, mulberry paper and skeleton leaves for that added natural touch..
Fixed in an Eco friendly silk varnish for protection.

This one holds a presence of his own. I wanted to capture the deep, masculine caring for the forest in a calming and nurturing way. He is ever present as we walk in the woodland, wanting us to walk deeper. For the way is true and simple, like the way it was in the beginning, ever present, just being and understanding the ways of the earth. This portrait captures that presence for me.

This piece represents the male and female balance connecting us to the earth through tree symbolism. Roots serve as anchors running deeply underground, our own growth and power is always strengthened by the work done beneath the surface. A possible representation of the Soul within the cave of creation. I knew that my Soul stood by me, and he and I went forth together: and I also knew the visible images of those things which we only know by name were about to be manifest to me. I developed this piece on and off over the course of a few years. It was a while before she came back to me with the need for different hues to move her forward. Quintessence was the word that kept going through my head as I bought her to life. She is perhaps that aspect of our selves that we long to tap into. The knowing primal, weaving the dreamspell, holding the soul aloft. ‘….. each individual carries within them a small but powerful generator of love whose energy is waiting to be released. When we learn to give and receive this universal energy, we will have affirmed that love conquers all, we are then able to transcend everything and anything, because love is the quintessence of life…..’ unknown
